Position Summary
Bridgestone seeks an energetic and motivated individual to join their manufacturing team in Muscatine, IA. As a Manufacturing Production Technician, you will primarily focus on work in the paint dept to support dealer parts orders and production needs for building new equipment from the ground up to include, set up, operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting production equipment.

Responsibilities:
- Operate and troubleshoot various machines manufactured in the facility.
- Learn and follow instructions on how to clean and prep various items for painting.
- Set up, operate and shutdown of paint systems for daily use.
- Document, Record and store various paint records.
- Coordinate/ assist with general maintenance and upkeep of paint dept systems.
- Coordinate with purchasing dept to ensure consumable items are kept in stock to support daily operations.
- Learn and follow plant policies for disposal of hazardous material where applicable.
- Use print books, work instructions and 3d models to assemble components to build or complete machinery as instructed.
- Move, pack, and sort raw materials or finished goods.
- Operate various sit down and stand-up forklifts as needed for daily work.
- Utilize gantry crane and mobile hoist for lifting and positioning work components.
- Meet and follow quality standards for painting equipment
- Learn and follow plant safety standards.
- Perform various kinds of rework on components or equipment as needed.
- Teammate will be working with various power sources such as electrical and pneumatic.
- Must be able to successfully complete a physical evaluation plus respiratory test.
Minimum Qualifications
- Typically requires a high school degree; or 1–2-year vocational training / Associate’s degree.
- Willingness to work overtime as needed in accordance with production needs.
- Capable of using various hand tools, power tools and precision measuring devices for manufacturing equipment.
- Able to work both on your own or with a team to accomplish production goals as needed.
- Must be familiar with paint guns and other associated paint tools.
- Minimum 1-3 years’ experience in paint production is preferred.
Typically requires a high school degree; or 1-2 year vocational training / associates degree
