Position Summary
The Senior Pricing Analyst of Bridgestone Retail Operations, develops and leads service pricing strategies for a current portfolio of over 3800_SKU’s and future products across 2200+ retail stores. This role works across multiple disciplines, including Marketing, Category Management, Finance, Technology, and Operation Management teams to drive a wholistic strategic approach that aligns with the business long term and short-term goals. This role has regular executive leadership interactions and is a driver in creating the future of the retail service pricing strategy. The Senior Pricing Analyst performs detailed data/pricing analysis, builds presentations, and solves complex business questions using their insights, analytics, and judgement. The Senior Pricing Analyst is viewed as the subject matter expert in the revenue management of roughly 2/3 of the $4.2B retail business.
Responsibilities
Work closely with Category Manager and other key partners and stakeholders to develop and analyze pricing strategies, models, tactics, and action plans to meet business objectives, while optimizing price and competitive positioning.
Support business pricing by providing financial analysis, identifying margin impact and enhancement opportunities, and proposing, testing and implementing new innovative pricing strategies.
Drive business understanding of effective revenue management through regular reporting and dashboard creation.
Provide thought leadership for continuous process improvement and innovation in the pricing area by suggesting/implementing changes to current processes and strategies to enable agile/flexible responses to a competitive market.
Build effective cross functional relationships within the company (Marketing, Category Management, Finance, Technology, Operation Management, etc.).
Support the Senior Pricing Manager, and other key decision makers/influencers on special projects as assigned.
Bachelor’s Degree in Business related area, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, Engineering, Finance, Accounting, or related discipline.
3+ years of related work experience.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to establish priorities and procedures for accomplishing work within established deadlines; ability to lead multiple projects and manage toward deadlines and deliverables.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in pricing/revenue management, or sales and marketing analytics in retail, automotive or service industries a plus, but not required.
Effective communication and presentation skills.
Strong understanding of Excel or other analytic tools to solve business problems.
Experience with data manipulation & visualization packages a plus, but not required (e.g., Tableau, Alteryx, etc.).
Experience with SQL, Access or other database reporting a plus, but not required.
Financial modeling experience desired.
Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA) or Masters (MS) in Statistics, Marketing Analytics, or similar a plus, but not required.
Data analysis experience in Python, R or Power BI a plus, but not required.
Experience with PriceFX or other pricing applications.
